Plastic Laminate
Plastic laminate is basically a sandwich of plastic coated papers. It is manufactured from layers of kraft paper, a decorative paper layer, and a clear surface plastic layer under high temperature and pressure. The color and patterns you see are simply the layer of decorative paper. The clear plastic surface layer protects the decorative paper from abrasion and moisture. The sheets are bonded to a substrate such as Roseburg Ultra blend industrial-quality particle board core.

Plastic Laminate
Decorative laminates are available in an endless color selection and numerous finishes. Plastic laminate is a durable, easy to maintain surface. There are many new laminate finishes that have the look and texture of stone without the cost. Laminate’s moderate price and durability makes it the most widely used surfacing material for builders and re-modelers. The sheets are usually bonded to a substrate such as Roseburg Ultra blend industrial-quality particle board core.
Solid Surface
Solid Surface countertops are manufactured with high performance resin systems such as acrylic and unsaturated polyester. They can be precisely cut and bonded to fit nearly any surface shape. Solid surface materials can also be routed for decorative edging which can be applied with specially formulated adhesives. Since the color goes clear through the product, scratches, chips and stains can be easily sanded
Since Solid Surface is 100% acrylic based surface products, they are solid, nonporous and do not require sealing. They’re naturally resistant to heat, mold, mildew and most stains, even tough stains are easily buffed away. They’re renewable and repairable — scratches are easily repaired. Featuring inconspicuous, waterproof seams ideal for custom designs like drain boards or coordinating seamlessly with solid surface sinks.
